The students
of Kala Kakali High School, Chittagong, and the Safi Uddin Sarker
Academy and College in Tongi implemented the World
Map Project. In this project, student volunteers draw a huge world map
on the classroom wall
and paint each country with different colors. When the map is
dry, they then paint in the country names in Bangla and English.
The map remains after GYSD as a permanent reference tool for the school
and serves to remind everyone that we're all on the same
planet.
The Global Connections and Exchange Project – Bangladesh is a project of Relief International - Schools Online's Global Citizenship & Youth Philanthropy Program and has been made possible with major funding from the United States State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Global Catalyst Foundation.
