Students at the Forest Colony Girls High School in Chittagong planted a flower garden at their school on Earth Day, coinciding with their celebration of Global Youth Service Day with other schools participating in the Global Connections and Exchange Program.

The girls summarized their day:

Gardening is one of the most interesting matters in human life. Today we have made a garden in front of our school premises. Forty students have attended in the program. At first our head master inaugurated the program.  We have divided into four groups. We have planted twenty plants of various flowers such as Rose, Marigold and Lily. We have also planted some Krisnochura and Mango trees. We have watered in them. The students have enjoyed themselves very much.

The Global Connections and Exchange Project – Bangladesh is a project of Relief International - Schools Online's Global
Citizenship & Youth Philanthropy Program and has been made possible with major funding from the United States State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Global Catalyst Foundation.
