GCE Bangladesh schools celebrates International Women's Day 2007 PDF Print E-mail
Relief International, in collaboration with select GCE schools in Bangladesh, celebrated International Women's Day on 8 March, 2007. The celebration included a number of activities such as student rallies, ICT training for girls, art competitions, and small discussion groups on girl's empowerment. The celebration included a number of activities such as student rallies, ICT training for girls, art competitions, and small discussion groups on girl's empowerment.

Rani Bilashmoni Boys School, Gazipur and Joydebpur Girls High School: The schools organized a number of activities including a student rally, ICT training for girls, and discussion groups attended by students and teachers.

Chowra Girls High School:
The Girl's Power Club organized a "Women's Day Rally", which passed through Chowra Village and its neighboring areas. The girl students carried a banner, festoon, hat, and placard highlighting the rights of women and the valuable roles women play in Bangladeshi society. At the end of the rally the school organized a small talk on "Education for Girl Children" at the Internet Learning Center.
