School in Kustia District joins GCE Program as an Associate School PDF Print E-mail
RI SOL is excited to announce that Begum Hamida Siddique Collegiate School ( link to school list ) in Kustia district, 300 km from Dhaka, has joined GCE as an Associate School. Two teachers have received training on 30 July at the ILC of Badsha Faishal Islamic institute, Jessore to get first hand experience in GCE programs. The training was also designed to help the teachers to understand aspects of online based education projects under the GCE and to assist the school in participating in the education programs. The Jessore-Khulna Cluster Operation Manager Ms. Zakia Sultana facilitated the training.

Associate schools generally have ILC type internet enabled computer centers and have interest in GCE online projects. With the help of GCE lead teachers at the school, the Begum Hamida Siddique Collegiate School has already started to participate in the GCE online program. In August, the students of the school began participating in a monthly online collaborative project on Child Labor. The GCE program in the school is coordinated by Mr. D.M. Samiul Haque Khan Pathan and Md. Shibly Hasan.
