International Online Conference on ‘Agenda 21’ PDF Print E-mail
On 8 May 2008, three GCE students from Yusuf Multipurpose School in Comilla, British American Technology and Management Institute in Dhaka and Pahartali Girls’ High School in Chittagong participated in the ‘Agenda 21’, an international online conference hosted by him German UNESCO Associated Schools (ASPnet Germany) and the Baltic Sea Project. ‘Agenda 21’ was a plan for the 21st century. In 1992, 179 countries of the world adopted a paper in the UN’s world summit that took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Their aims are to meet the challenge of global warming, pollution, biodiversity and the inter-related social problems of poverty, health and population.
