The Linking Individuals, Knowledge and Culture (LINC) Program gives outstanding 15-17 year old Bangladeshi and American students the opportunity to learn about science and technology, community service/volunteerism, youth leadership, and cross cultural understanding. The American LINC students will visit Bangladesh in April 2007 and participate in a 3-week Exchange.
Three Bangladeshi GCE participants have just finished their three week long exchange visit to the USA. During the visit in July 2007, the students had opportunity to learn civic empowerment and youth leadership for community development. They participated in a series of leadership training programs which are expected to impact on their engagement in the development of their own community in particular and their country in general. The youth leaders have also gained first hand experience in multi cultural aspects of the USA and hope to share their knowledge with their peer and community back home.
