ICT4A
is the use of technology to communicate between individuals and groups
involved in activism – that is, taking action to improve some aspect of
society. ICT4A also makes use of available media to get the
message out about these activities – to identify community needs, raise
awareness about public issues, and disseminate useful
information. As in the Global Connections and Exchange Program,
ICT can provide a means of bridging different groups, leading to better
intercultural understanding and cooperation.
